Over 370 guests attended the 8th Annual Student/Teacher Academic Recognition Banquet on Tuesday, May 5, 2008 at the Marriott DFW Airport. We honored  the CHS Distinguished Scholars graduating in the top 5% of their class and the teachers who inspired them. The 14 CISD Campus Teachers of the Year were recognized, and the evening ended with the announcement of the 2008-2009 Teachers of the Year.  Malachi Ewbank, 5^th grade teacher at Cottonwood Creek Elementary and Diane de Waal, 8^th grade U.S. History teacher at Coppell Middle School West were named this year’s District Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year for Coppell ISD.
